Funny thing..My shoes. They are.. well, there is no tread left on my black shoes. Yesterday I fell down the stairs going to the RER. It was a sunday afternoon, so there weren't a lot of people, but still... Yeah.
Mission shoes are the most abused things on earth.
Things are going well with all of our baptismal dates and our investigators. Our numbers were pretty low last week with Zone conference and vacation for all the schools, but things are steady so that is all that we can ask for.
Zone conference was so great. Elder Txchara from the 70 came. He spoke on how to be more effective missionaries. Also, President changed the standards of excellence. They were REALLY low and our old ones were high so now... They are all high. I love high goals. I got to use my Portuguese. Also, I got to use my Lingual yesterday at church. I really wanted to learn it well enough to do a full contact, but I can just say hi, how are you... The joys of Brussels.
Weird thing! Yesterday we were walking down this street and a girl asked us how to get to the church. She looked a little familiar, but I didn't know why. Then she told us that her sister has served in the BBN. It was a sister that I have never met, but she was soeur Orton's companion and Soeur Santos loved her. I felt like I knew her just because of how much everyone talked about her. She called her sister and I got to meet her. It was so fun. Wow, that was cool. Mom- she was the sister that made that video for me with Jen in Brussels.
The work isnt slower, just different. It has taken some getting used to, but I love the ward and the DMPs are so great. We had a blast last night at an FHE with one DMP's family and some recent converts.
Well, I have to get to go. We are playing volleyball as a zone. Yep, Week 2 without the Effiel. haha.
Love you,
Soeur Hulet
