May 2, 2010

Hey!
I dont even know where to start. It has been a very busy week. Here are some highlights.

Monday-
We played volleyball and then worked on a less active project all night until 10h20. We are really trying to get these people back to church.

Tuesday-
Interviews with President. We had a really nice training by the zone leaders and then each companionship got to teach President and Sister Staileh a lesson on prayer. It was a role play, but it went very well. Presdent said that he enjoyed it a lot and I could tell that he felt it went well. We are on a hunt for a new apartment. The whole shower in the kitchen, only one sink and living over a butchers shop thing isnt that great. I know that Jake and Seth are now thinking that I have it good, but heck.. It is time for a move. So after a quick look for an apartment we had a RDV with an amazing investigator. She said that she would be baptized but she is very active in her church, helping with music and the children's choir. We challenged her to pray for help and we have been praying too. She is great.

Wednesday-
We had a meeting with the RS president about the less actives that we are working with. She is so sweet and she helped us with our French a bit. It was nice.

Thursday
We met with a member in the morning who is super cool. Thgen we had a few other really great RDVs. It was a members one year mark from being home so she worked with us all day. It was good to talk to her about the things she learned on her mission and it was fun to learn from her.

Friday was a miracle day
Hortonce is from Cameroon and she has been living here for about 10 years. She met the sisters in December and she was interested but then her baby was given only a slight chance of living from a whole list of medical problems. The members have been great with her and have been there to support her and give blessings to her and the baby. The baby just took her first steps and is almost completly out of the woods. Hortonce has wanted to be baptized but she was just too busy with her daughters problems. The other day we were able to set a date for her. Her friend was over too and she said that she has seen all of the blessings because of the gospel in Hortonce's life and now she wants to be baptized. We will start teaching her next week.
We were asked to all fast for a temple here in France. That would been so good for EVERYONE. I would love it. We have been asked to keep that in our prayers for the whold month. Oh, that would be so good. That right there is the real goal, not baptism so It would be so nice if it was so close.
Well, I love it here. I have had a lot of fun. I hope that things are going well.
