Hey family,
Well, Monday… The plumber told us that he could leave that day that it wouldn't be a big job… Then he found out that there are cracks in the mortar of the shower and so the walls behind the shower were completely molded through. He had to rip off all of the tile and that night we sprayed it with bleach then he put up new tile. The few hours turned into 3 days of plumber sitting. He was a nice man but missing 3 days of work was not fun. President told us to just work on finding a new apartment closer to the church. We were told by the Davis couple that if this would have happened in the USA then we would have had to evacuate due to the mold and wait a week… Souer Lindstrom has had a funny cough for the last few days… I hope she didn't get TB from the Mold.
On Thursday we went up to CHARLEROI. Wow, was that fun. We had a blast and I got to work with Soeur Kohler all day Friday. She is such an amazing missionary and we had a really good day. It was weird how normal that city felt. I know that I am supposed to be here, but I felt so comfortable in that city. I guess it helped to be visiting people I taught and members I love, but still… Just getting around was so normal. We started out our day with a CHF (you haven't seen that for a few months, consecrated hour of finding) then we went to see the family Ypersia. Oh, how good it was to see them. We just had the best chat and then we talked about member missionary work. Their dog, chippy, died.. .That made me sad. She was my little friend. But the family is doing well and will be going to Vegas in November.
After the Yperisa's we went to see Claudia but she wasn't home so we passed by a lady I had taught with Soeur Santos, but she wasn't home so we went to the Lafineur's house. As we were walking the school bus passed us and all 3 of the kids were on the bus. They were so excited to see me and as I walked up the steet the youngest was yelling "she's back, soeur Hulet is back" We had nice little lesson and they were very touched that I would want to see them. They asked about Soeur Santos and Soeur Welch. I didn't have much to tell them, but they were happy with any news.
After we went to sing to a little old woman who can't come to church. It was good to see her again and I she was so happy to see us. I doubt she remembers me but she was happy to have us over.
We went to the family Wery's and Agnes was there with Naomi. We had so much fun and they had us stay for their BBQ. It was so good to be with them again.
After we went to get frites and then to Claudia's. All 3 of the kids were there and we had such a nice lesson and they are all doing well. Claudia told me all about doing baptisms and how it was so fun to go to the temple. She is so great. Jimmy is going to do a mini mission in July. He will live with the Namur Elders for a week and work with them.
That was our very eventful day in Charleroi.
We got back Saturday afternoon and had a baptism to go to and then a few lessons. All went well. Church was great. Kalvin and Simon came with us and they both had a good time. Soeur Lindstrom gave a talk and it went very well.
Here is the breaking news. Soeur Lindstrom is leaving on Thursday but the transfer isn't until the next Wednesday, so we are closing Nogent for a week and then I will come back with my new companion. I am excited to work with Soeur Howell and soeur Wilson next week.
We have found some really neat new people to teach over the last few days and even got a member referral from Torcy. All is going well and I love it here. I am so thankful that I could have the best of both worlds with Paris mission and the BBN.
I have to run, Love you all.
Soeur Hulet
